About Us

Dana was born in South Charleston, West Virginia and lived there until he was 14 years old, at which time he moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He heard the gospel for the first time at a little store front church called West Side Baptist Church. He visited the church only three times when the Holy Spirit dealt with him concerning salvation. He accepted the Lord on December 29, 1968. He felt the call to preach soon after. At age 19, he moved  to Greenville, South Carolina to attend Tabernacle Baptist Bible Institute where Dr. Harold Sightler was pastor. In 1976 Dana took his first pastorate at a little church in the mountains of North Carolina. He was there four years and six months. He then served as pastor of Temple Baptist Church, Newland, North Carolina for eighteen years. In 1999 Dana felt the call of God for full time evangelism. He and his wife, Esther, have ministered in churches preaching and singing in revivals, camp meetings, and conferences all across the mid and eastern United States. Dana and Esther reside in Wedowee, Alabama. They have four children and five grandchildren.

UP-DATES (Family News)

Certainly has been a busy September and October. We have been on the road for the most part covering many states and a lot of miles. The Lord has blessed with His evident presence in every meeting. It is a wonder to behold the hand of the Lord at work in so many circumstances and situations. He can meet our needs if we will only listen as He speaks.

We love and appreciate all those whom the Lord has allowed us to meet as we cross the country preaching and ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Paul said to the Philippians, "I thank God upon every remembrance of you."

Pray for us as we proceed to the end of the year with a full schedule. I praise the Lord for the strength that He gives to fulfill His work.

As you know, Esther is my constant companion in the ministry and I don't know how I would make it if she did not have all that God given energy to keep things going, (driving, cleaning, washing, office work, etc), you name it and she can do it. I love her so much.

All the family seems to be doing well. I was blessed recently to preach a meeting for my son Stephen at Sunset Hills Baptist Church and we had a wonderful time working together for the Lord. Thank you for your many prayers for our family over the years. Please continue to pray for them as the Lord brings them to heart and we will likewise pray for your families.
